About the class: Three wonderful and empowering women and men will take you on a journey experiencing ancients ways of relaxation and mindfulness using traditional medicines from Gmilaroi country, while learning traditional and contemporary weaving techniques.

Your hosts:  Rosie, Patricia & Shareen
What will they do - Rosie  will use traditional medicines from Gamilaroi country, you will embody a feeling of connectivity. Rosie will take you on a journey of cultural exploration and gift you an experience of traditional relaxation moment through ceremony ancient practices.
Proud Gomeroi sisters Patricia & Shareen. Owners of Gamilaraay gulay traditional/contemporary weavings will teach you traditional weaving techniques dating back to the beginning of time you will  create your own woven basket.

All materials for weaving workshop are supplied.
  • Bring open heart, creativity and a smile 

What you'll take home:

  • You will get to take home your woven piece.
  • Along with knowledge of traditional weaving techniques and mindfulness
  • A sense of connection to self and knowledge of traditional Aboriginal weaving techniques, be able to channel a connection to a memory or journey they carry within themselves as women.
