Location:  Witjuti Grub Bushfood Nursery  84 Falls Creek Road, Obi Obi Sunshine Coast Queensland.

About the day: Engage all your senses of sight, sound, taste, smell and touch, as well as spiritual connection as you explore, forage and harvest seasonal bushfood and dine on a delicious and unique three course bushfood menu. 

The garden tour has been created to provide a comfortable learning environment , and enjoyable long table lunch. Veronica will take you on a tour of her property bordering the rainforest in the Sunshine Coast hinterland's Obi Obi valley, Veronica  is aiming to raise awareness of forgotten native foods — the amazing trees, fruits and flavours we have in our own backyard. You will experience established bush food and useful botanicals in their glory.  

Your chef Tanika Orr, a Eastern Arrernte woman operating on Kabi Kabi country. With extensive knowledge of international cuisine and a passion for using indigenous ingredients and cooking techniques, Tanika creates delicious, rustic menus that incorporate wild foraged ingredients and bush tukka from first nations producers.

Tanika present each course and the importance of the native botanical ingredients within. She will discuss traditional and contemporary uses and the significance of continuing its use in everyday cuisine.

The menu is seasonally crafted using the My Dilly Bag product range and fresh produce from Veronica property. BYO your favorite bottle? Fresh rain water is on tap and Myrtle tea. 

We welcome your family and friends to join our table for some good old-fashioned country hospitality.

  • Take the Eumundi Kenilworth Rd
  • Turn left on Obi Obi Rd 
  • Turn left Falls Creek Road 1 km up road on right is the Witjuti Grub Bush Food Nursery
