Learn to shape and build your own wreath and style it with some striking native florals. Wreaths can be made for so many purposes not just Christmas. Think table centrepieces, wall decorations, birthdays, coming of age, anzac day, murri sports carnival and other special moments!

Big or small, there’s a wreath for everyone!

Your host:  Nadine McDonald-Dowd, a Yuwi woman from Mackay, North Queensland, brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work with First Nations artists. Prior to her role at Blak Botanics, she served as the Artistic Director of Kooemba Jdarra Indigenous Performing Arts Company, Senior Producer with Major Brisbane Festivals, the Manager of kuril dhagun at the State Library of Queensland, Creative Producer for the Commonwealth Games Arts and Cultural Festival, and Executive Producer at Queensland Performing Arts Centre. After 30 odd years in the arts industry, she now shares her time working with First Nations artists and learning and sharing what she can about our deadly native flora. With her extensive background, you can trust that you're in good hands for a professional, fun, and culturally appropriate experience.
