🌿Join esteemed cultural weaver, Chidanpee for Yubu Yaddggi Weaving for a special Mother's Day workshop at GATHAA First Nations Market on Sunday, 12 May🌿

Yubu Yaddggi Weaving, translating to Good Fibre weaving, invites you to embrace  the art of weaving and fibres, celebrating the beauty of culture, country and connectedness. This special workshop not only celebrates the artistry and skill involved but also honors the bond between mothers and daughters, as well as the nurturing spirit that flows through the hands of women who weave.  

🪶What to Expect:

Chidanpee will guide you through cultural weaving techniques to craft your very own pendant, which can be transformed into a necklace, keyring or earrings.

Norma Chidanpee Benger, a proud Marathiel/Murinpatha woman, carries on her family's weaving tradition spanning generations. Born into a lineage of weavers, she embraces the responsibility of passing these traditions to her children and grandchildren. Through sharing her craft, Chidanpee aims to unite creativity, love, and respect for First Nations culture.
