Professional Development

Professional Development

Our professional development workshops provide educators, facilitators and organisations with hands-on opportunities to deepen their understanding of bushfoods, cultural knowledge and practical application. Sessions are designed to build confidence in using native ingredients, sharing knowledge respectfully and bringing bushfoods into learning, cooking and community settings.

Professional development offerings may include an Introduction to Bushfoods, exploring native ingredients, their uses and cultural context; Native Bush Brew workshops, focusing on tea blending and bush plants; and Bushfood Plant workshops, delivered in collaboration with Josie from The Bush Nursery. Combined workshops can also be offered, bringing together bushfood plant knowledge with a live cooking demonstration, where participants learn how to cook with bushfoods and explore flavour pairings, preparation techniques and contemporary applications.

Introduction to Bushfoods Workshop

A combined professional development experience bringing together bushfood plant knowledge and a live cooking demonstration. Participants learn about bushfood plants and then see how native ingredients can be prepared and used in the kitchen, exploring flavour pairings, cooking techniques and contemporary applications.
