Hosted by: Cholena Hughes

$85.00

Eco-Printing with Native Botanicals
Create your own silk scarf using natural plant dyes and traditional eco-printing techniques

Join First Nations Artist and Weaver, Cholena Hughes and explore the beautiful art of eco-printing. Using botanicals, you will add unique prints to a silk scarf, a tote bag (both supplied) and your choice of an item you bring. Perfect for thoughtful, handmade gifts for yourself or someone special.

About the class:

Cholena will guide you through the process of selecting the right plant materials to achieve your desired results. Eco-printing refers to the act of using plant materials to directly apply colour and printed marks your chosen surface.

During the workshop, we will print onto 1 silk scarf, 1 cotton tote bag (you’ll have various colours to choose from) and an item made from natural fabric you bring.

Using natural botanicals, you will learn techniques to capture the intricate shapes and colours of various native plant varieties.

We will take a hands-on, no-fuss approach, so you’ll have fun and learn some new skills.
